Use the AI method for people and products
It works best when the subject is clearly visible and well lit. Hair and fur usually look better with a good quality original.
Use the Color method for plain backgrounds
Signatures, logos and studio photos with a white or single-color background are fast to clean with this method. Raise the tolerance if some background remains.
Crop first for better results
Remove extra space with the image cropper or straighten the picture with the image rotator before you remove the background.
Resize after removing

A transparent PNG stores an extra alpha channel that says how see-through each pixel is. Can I reduce the file size after removing the background?
Yes. Use our MB to KB image compressor. For fixed sizes, try 250KB or 150KB. Note that a PNG with transparency will lose its transparency if you convert it to JPG.
